Buckling Our Seatbelts!

I shared I would be giving an update when we got our caseworker assigned to us for our home study...we've been assigned! We got a call early last week to schedule a meeting with our caseworker who will be doing our entire home study. The home study will consist of three meetings--2 at the agency's office and the last one at our house. Our caseworker mentioned if our schedules permit we'd be able to knock out one meeting per week over this next month and complete the home study and her report by May 1st! Wow, it really feels like things are beginning to move quickly.

God has been blessing us with lots of friends and families that have either just begun the adoption process or have had a child/ren home for years. We met with a family last week that adopted two beautiful boys from Ethiopia several years ago. It was encouraging once again, to meet them and share story's first hand.

We have so much to be thankful for...no to mention the fact that today is Easter. When I stop and think about what Jesus did/accomplished on this day it is really hard to swallow. But He did do it...the tomb is empty...and so we are fully capable of having hope and living a life full of great expectation and wonder.

If you think of us this week, please pray for our meeting on Wednesday with our caseworker and that we will continue to press hard into completing the mound of paper work ahead of us!

With great expectation,

Jen
