Meeting Aliya Joy!
Today was another great day. Sahara and I got to hang out with our friend Amy who just got home from Ethiopia a few weeks ago with her new baby girl, Aliya Joy. This child is unbelievable. You look at her, she smiles. You laugh at her, she smiles. You frown at her, she smiles. I'm a little biased to Sahara, but Amy could very well have one of the best baby's on the planet! Aliya is transitioning well and Amy seems to be picking up the Mom thing with ease! I can't wait for the day that our new adopted little girl gets the privilge of playing with her Ethiopian friend, Aliya.
As of Monday, our home study is complete. Our caseworker came to our house Monday afternoon to see our home and neighborhood. Over the next 2 weeks she will be working on writing her report about our family. This report will be used in our upcoming Immigration paperwork as well as with our Dossier which will be sent to Ethiopia. We are hopeful that God's favor is upon our family!
It looks as though Spring has finally sprung here in Grand Rapids! Thank you, Lord. I think Sahara has been at the park 4 out of the last 4 days. She's lovin' it! With Spring comes all of the fun house projects that we can begin now that the weather is cooperating. Little does Brian know, I have also been dreaming up quite the room design for Sahara and her new sister. He's not going to be happy with his honey-do list! Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Hi Jen, I'm not sure if you will know who I am but my name is Jesse and I work with Sue at Law Weathers. She told me all about your new adventure and shared the link to your blog. I just wanted to let you and Brian and Sahara know that I think what you are doing is....incredible...for lack of a better adjective. Your blog is fantastic and I hope you don't mind me nosing in. Good luck. I can't wait to hear more.
Brian, Jen & Sahara,
Aliya and I are praying for you and are delighted to be on the sidelines cheering your process on. "Thanks be to our God who gives indescribable gifts"!
