GoJo's Ethiopian Cuisine
Our friends, Chris, Holley, and Zoe Dumond went out to dinner with us the other night to celebrate our common journey in adoption. Zoe is 5 yrs. old and is one of Sahara's good friends. We have known Chris and Holley for about 8 years and have a shared passion for loving North Africans as well as longing for the issue of orphans to be erased from the history books.
We decided to try the one and only GoJo's Ethiopian Cuisine right here in Eastown. Neither families had yet to try Ethiopian food before. Sahara talked about it all day and was very excited to try food where her soon to be baby sister will come from. Here's a picture of the sample combo platter that we all tried.
It smelled amazing in the restaurant! 3 of us really liked the food. It was very spicy and left a lingering temperature rise in our mouths! The other 3 didn't like the food that well..actually...at all. I guess we need to slowly introduce this new culture of food into our lives!
