The numbers game
Our caseworker just got back from spending over a week in Ethiopia. We're excited to hear a report from her once she gets back into a rhythm in the office. In the meantime, we were informed today that a referral was made for a couple...a little 4 month old girl! When I found this out I went to this couple's blog. They have been waiting since March '08 for a baby girl. How they found out today was pretty cool. The wife's husband came downstairs and informed his wife that they both had messages on their cell phones from the adoption agency. Not wanting to get his hopes up he followed with "it could be about anything". They called the agency and spoke with our caseworker and inquired about her trip. She responded with "it was great...I'm still trying to adjust being back...oh, and I did get to meet your baby girl!!" Amazing!
All that said...I don't have confirmation yet, but I do believe this knocks us down to #4 on the waiting list. We'll update on that once we have the for sure number. At times all of this doesn't even seem real. I mean we are getting a room ready upstairs for the girls to share. We are thinking about names and trying our best to prepare Sahara for not being the center of attention anymore. But to really grasp the fact that very soon, we could be getting on a plane, flying to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, visiting an orphanage and bringing a little girl home with us to be our daughter and join our family is a bit surreal. God thank you for your impeccable timing with every facet of our lives. We trust you and wait on you...

They are one person
They are two alone
They are three together
They are for each other
or better said "four" each other.
Hey,
Came upon your blog through a series of other adoption blogs. Blessings on your wait. We're in GR too. We're learning as we go also, but we know the Lord's timing is perfect.
