The wait is making me weary...

I needed to hear this song this morning on my way to drop Sahara off at school. This wait...along with other things in life are making me weary...

"Here I am Lord and I'm drowning
In your Sea of forgetfulnees
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest

I don't want to end up
Where you found me
And it echoes in my mind
Keeps me awake tonight

I know you've cast my sin as far as
The east is from the west
And I stand before you know
As though I've never sinned

But today I feel like
I'm just one mistake away
From You leaving me this way

Jesus, can you show me just how far,
The east is from the west?
'Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been
Rising up in me again

In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
You know just how far
The east is from the west
From one scarred hand to another

I start the day, the war begins
Endless reminding of my sin
And time and time again
Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in

I can't live by what I feel
About the truth your word reveals
And I'm not holding onto you
But You're holding on to me, You're holding onto me

You know just how far
The east is from the west
Just how far
From one scarred hand to another"

...thankfully when I can't hold onto Him I know He will to me.

I hear ya. God gave me a song this morning when I was getting ready for work. It's an oldie, but a goodie...

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, and blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When every earthly prop gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found,
Clothed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne!

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

Love ya Jen!

Truly one of the greatest songs by Casting Crowns.
Hang in there, Jen. Your new child needs you.
Jesus Loves You, and so do Pam and I.
