Loved.

How is it that God always knows just what we need all of the time? The basics? Yeah, He's got that. But I'm talking about a reminder to your soul in the midst of ongoing, neverending chaos that you are loved. And not just loved, but cherised...adored. By Him.

Since Brian and I began the adoption journey back in January 2007 it's been difficult for us to find time for eachother. We have been reminded constantly to find joy in this journey no matter how difficult it may be or get. With me working evenings and weekends to pay for the adoption, I can't remember the last time we were together with no child, no dog, no worries. Well, I know God knew that's what we needed and last night we received just that.

Our dear friends invited us over for dinner. We had a sitter for Sahara and all we were suppose to bring was a bottle of red wine and a salad. We got to our friends house and when we walked through the door it began. We were served and waited on from head to toe. They guided us into a nice cozy room where the fire was going, candles were lit, wonderful music was playing and the table was beautifully set for dinner. We started off the evening with cheeses, olives, salami, and wine. And spent the next 3 hours indulging in amazing food, ambience and conversation. Come to find out midway through the night that Keith was leaving for India the next morning. But still...he chose to sacrifice and love on us in the way that he and his wife did. God used our friends to remind us that despite the pressures, the responsibilities and the overall brokenness of this world...we are loved. Period.

Thank you Keith and Suzie. We love you dearly.
