Sharing 101

I'm apologizing in advance as I may be all over the place in this post. What the world...it's been almost an entire month since my last post. Has life really been that busy? Yes.

Summer has officially begun. Sahara has been enjoying every day to it's fullest. I swear all that kid knows how to do is play! Playdates, sleepovers, swimming, biking, taking care of her garden, ice cream, more playdates and more ice cream. What a life!

Our dear friends, Chris and Holley, left Saturday for Ethiopia to pick up their son, Abinet! They were to meet him for the very first time today. We are so excited for them. So many of the details of their journey are nothing short of supernatural. God has affirmed over and over again His choice of Abinet for their son. It's a beautiful thing. They will be coming home with Abinet next Saturday, July 4th. Brian gets to pick them up from the Chicago airport and bring them back to GR.

Our status? "Rumor" has it that the investigation regarding abandoned children is complete. We still don't have any details about the actual investigation itself but the fact that it is complete is good news. We were also informed that this coming Thursday, July 2nd, court cases that had been suspended due to the investigation are to be processed. That is fantastic news. We are prayerful that this will also propel referrals to come through. Please, Lord, let this be the month that we find out who our daughter is!

In other news....we finally moved all of Brian's clothes from the upstairs closet to his "new quarters" on the main floor. Now I get to have fun digging out all of Sahara's old clothes to see what will fit her baby sister! We pulled out an old bathing suit that is 2 sizes too small for Sahara the other day. We told her that we were going to put it in her baby sister's closet for her to use some day. Sahara was not happy about that at all. Hence, begins the "sharing 101" course for our almost 5 year old!!

Hi Jen,
I just found out that you know Patti Melpolder (Gutowski). It is such a small world! You might remember Rich and I. We are also adopting from Ethiopia. My blog is EthiopianOrphan.blogspot.com
