Recovering
Sahara had her tonsils taken out last week Wednesday. The procedure itself really isn't that big of a deal...especially when you're young. But the recovery is a bit long and drawn out. Scabs are trying to form in the back of Sahara's throat but it's taking an awfully long time for that to happen. Every morning when she wakes up, the scabs have hardened a bit overnight. When she trys to open her mouth in the morning the scabs crack and cause a lot of pain. It's so cute to listen to her talk now too. The surgeon told us this would change Sahara's speech a bit, but it sounds as if she's just sucked in some helium every time she speaks!
This whole procedure has gotten me thinking about Ayantu even more! If Ayantu's tonsils were terrible and causing her lots of infections and speech problems would she ever have the opportunity to correct that? If she didn't sleep well and even snored loudly at night would Ayantu have the opportunity to do anything about that? We're so grateful to know that as we get closer to a court date we'll be able to answer yes to the questions above. When Ayantu officially becomes our daughter, it assures us an opportunity to be able to help her with any health issues she may have down the road.
Please Lord...we're begging you for a court date assignment this coming week!
