Life has been full
I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I've added a post. Life sure has been full around here. Between friends in town from Spain, 4th of July Celebrations, continuing with the adoption paperwork pursuit and my Mom starting Chemotherapy these last couple weeks have really been busy.
Tonight we spent the night with our friend Amy who adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia. They made a posting earlier on our blog because Aliya is just so darn cute you can't stand it. Seeing her tonight it's even worse. And I have proof of that! My husband would not stop holding Aliya. Every chance he got he was willing to snuggle up with this ham bone! We walked with Amy, Aliya and our friends in town from Spain to Jersey Junction. Ice Cream was consumed, waffle cones were crunched and I believe everyone left happy!
Update on us and the adoption process: we're still waiting! We don't anticipate moving on to our last step until mid to late August, but we'll see what God's plans are.
If you would join us in praying for the following two things:
1. My Mom just began Chemotherapy treatment today. Please pray that in the course of the next 3-4 days the side effects would be minimal and manageable. She has three more Chemo sessions over the course of the next 11 weeks.
2. A family in the process of adopting from Ethiopia just received their referral on June 2nd for a boy. They accepted the referral and had just received a court date to move things closer to a travel date. Three days ago, the Vaz Family received word that their new son was in critical condition. They passed the word out for people to pray, but their little boy went to be with Jesus today. Please lift this family up during this very difficult time.
Thank you for your prayers. Enjoy the pictures!
