Remembering

I can remember years ago wondering if I'd ever be married, let alone have a child. And now our oldest is turning 6! Yesterday, we celebrated Sahara's 6th Birthday a few weeks early. Her real birthday is on September 7th, which happens to be the first day of school this year. So, we opted to celebrate early...and celebrate we did!

Sahara had 9 girlfriends over in the early afternoon for a treasure hunt. Twelve clues throughout the house led Sahara and her friends to her birthday present: a trampoline! The girls had a riot jumping and laughing for the next hour.

After Sahara's friends left, family and other personal friends came over for dinner. Both Sahara and Ayantu stayed on that trampoline most of the night bouncing with whomever would join them! Brian worked so hard getting that thing built before the party. I know that watching his girls made his hard work so worth while!

Sahara, we've been so blessed to watch you grow into the beautiful little girl you are today. We're grateful for your heart for others and that you aim to know and love your Heavenly Father. May you grow in new ways in year six as you gain more opportunities to trust your Creator!

We love you, adore you and are so proud that you're our daughter!
