Black and White
Okay...Immunization shots are complete. We ended up doing them one week at a time in order to help with the cost. I did mine 2 weeks ago Wed. and Brian did his last week Wed. We both got a bit queasy and had some nice sweating spells the following day. Other than that no real issues.
Sahara has been doing wonderfully at preschool. We are so proud of how well she has jumped in and adjusted to a new routine. She loves her teachers, Mrs. Larson and Mrs. Lugo. And has already made some new friends. Mrs. Larson asked Sahara the other day if she had any brothers or sisters to which she replied "I'm getting a baby sister from Ethiopia"! I beamed with joy. That day Mrs. Larson asked the kids to pray for Sahara's baby sister coming from Ethiopia. Very cool.
The school that Sahara is attending is very diverse. I love seeing all of the different colored children walking in with their Moms and Dads. And then it hit me...Sahara doesn't even look at the different colored skin. She sees a kid as a kid. Simple. Pure. No Black. No White. Just a kid. And an opportunity to make a friend and share a laugh. Wow. Jesus really knew what He was saying when He told us to have the faith of a child.
No referral news or updates on the adoption end. We are waiting with anticipation and beginning our project list of things to get done before our little girl comes home. Brian is so happy with the project list! He may actually long for heaven more than ever before...simply so the projects can end!!!
